Jajay Project - Excellent Near Surface Copper Mineralization in Diamond Drill Holes at Lorraine, Upper Main Zone Extension

View News Release in PDF Format

Lysander Minerals Corporation (the "Company") is pleased to announce assay results from diamond drill hole 05-106 at the Lorraine Property some 280 km northwest of Prince George, BC. This hole was drilled in the valley below the Upper Main Zone from which it is separated by an extensive talus apron. DDH 05-106 is an angle hole drilled from the same location as an historic vertical hole DDH 04-82 and lies 500 metres southwest of drill hole 05-105 which was reported previously. Results of these holes are as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------
From To Interval Cu Au Ag
Hole No. (m) (m) (m) (%) (g/t) (g/t)

These holes appear to represent a substantial western extension of the Main Zone which remains open.

Lysander is also considering re-visiting data regarding oxide copper in the talus apron which was first reported in Lysander's Annual Report for 1985 where it was stated that: "An additional resource of importance is the large talus apron derived from the Upper Main Zone which is believed to contain several million tonnes of broken mineralized rock. Seven large bulk panel samples each of about 1000 lbs gave a uniform average grade of about 0.5% Cu and 0.25 g/t Au. The copper in the talus is mainly in oxide form and appears to be amenable to leaching with low acid consumption."
